This article will teach you how to take a backup using the Softaculous App Installer.

• Step 1. Log in to your hosting account's control panel.

• Step 2. Navigate to the "Softaculous Apps Installer" page.

• Step 3. Navigate to the "All Installations" page.

• Step 4. Click on "Backup" next to your installed application.

• Step 5. Configure your backup settings.

Backup Directory - If checked the entire folder will be backed up.
Backup Database - If checked the database will also be backed up.
Backup Note - Insert a custom note.
Backup Location - Choose an alternative location to save the backup.

• Step 6. Click the "Backup Installation" button.

You can leave the page as soon as the task starts and track it by navigating to the "Tasks" page.
