How to Add a New Category in WordPress

Step 1: Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.

Step 2: Hover over the "Posts" link in the side-bar and navigate to "Categories".

Step 3: Under "Add New Category" enter the name for your new category and a description if applicable.
