How to Edit Access Hosts in Linux

The hosts file is a plain text file located at "/etc/hosts" which you can use to edit the IP address a domain points to locally.

  • Step 1. Log in to your linux server with SSH access.

  • Step 2. Edit the hosts file using a text editor.
sudo nano /etc/hosts
  • Step 3. Authenticate the command with your SSH password.
